ELearning Assignments for April 6th-April 10th

Happy Spring J

Do these every day of ELearning!

Read 20 minutes a day.

Do at least 20 minutes of Dream Box a day.

3rd Graders do at least 10 minutes of Reading Eggs per day.

You will need your iPads, paper and a pencil to do your assignments.

April 6th – Happy Monday!!

3rd and 4th Grade Reading

  1. Go to the assignments on the Kids A-Z app on your iPads.
  2. Read/listen and take the quiz for I’m the Small One.

3rd and 4th Grade Writing The IXL app has a speaker icon that will read questions to students.

  1. Watch the following Brain Pop Jr video about writing a paragraph. The skills you will work on this week for writing are the skills needed to write paragraphs: writing topic sentences and details that go with the topic. https://jr.brainpop.com/readingandwriting/writing/writingaparagraph/
  2. Go to the IXL app on your iPad.
  3. Go to 2nd grade Language arts and do Y1 – Topic sentences.

3rd and 4th Grade Spelling

  1. Write these words two times each:

    basket, bunny, carrot, eggs, rabbit, spring, hopping, jellybean, candy, lamb

  2. Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.
  3. Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: Spelling April 6th.

 

3rd Grade Math The IXL app has a speaker icon that will read questions to students.

  1. Watch the following Khan Academy video on adding 10 or 100: https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-2nd-grade-math/cc-2nd-add-subtract-1000/cc-2nd-add-ones-tens-hundreds/v/adding-ten-or-one-hundred?modal=1
  2. Go to the IXL app on your iPads.
  3. Go to 2nd grade math and do I2 (This is the letter “I” and the number “2”) – Add multiples of 10 or 100.

4th Grade Math The IXL app has a speaker icon that will read questions to students.

  3. Go to 2nd grade math and do G4 – Add a two-digit and a one-digit number-with regrouping.

  2. Go to 2nd grade Language arts and do Y2 – Choose topic sentences for narrative paragraphs.

April 10th – Make it a fun Friday – make a funny face in the mirror!

3rd and 4th Grade Reading

  1. Go to the assignments on the Kids A-Z app on your iPads.
  2. Read/listen and take the quiz for Sled Dogs to the Rescue.

3rd and 4th Grade Writing The IXL app has a speaker icon that will read questions to students.

  1. Go to the IXL app on your iPad.
  2. Go to 2nd grade Language arts and do Y3 – Choose topic sentences for expository paragraphs.

3rd and 4th Grade Spelling

  1. Type these words two times each in the Pages app on your iPad or write them 2 times each on a piece of paper:basket, bunny, carrot, eggs, rabbit, spring, hopping, jellybean, candy, lamb
  2. Take a screen shot of your typed words. (Hold the Sleep/Wake (on/off) button on the top of your iPad and quickly click the Home button at the bottom of the screen.)
  3. Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: Spelling April 10.
