ELearning Assignments for March 31st – April 3rd
Daily Assignments- Do these every day!
Read 20 minutes a day.
Do at least 15 minutes of Dream Box a day.
3rd graders do at least 10 minutes of Reading Eggs per day.
You will need your iPads, paper and a pencil to do your assignments.

3rd and 4th Grade Reading

- Go to the assignments on the Kids A-Z app on your iPads.
- Read/listen to the story Ocean Animals.
- Draw a picture and write a sentence to answer this question: How does the octopus protect itself from danger? Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.
- Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: octopus danger.
3rd and 4th Grade Writing

- If you have not read the story, read the story Ocean Animals on the Kids A-Z app in your assignments.
- On a sheet of paper, write a topic sentence that states the main idea of the story. This will be for a paragraph about ocean animals that we will write over the week. Mrs. K gives help in the video.
- On another sheet of paper, write 2 facts from the story about ocean animals that you can use to write detail sentences tomorrow. Make sure you use the story Ocean Animals to help you spell words.
- Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.
- Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: ocean animals topic and facts.
3rd and 4th Grade Spelling
- Write these words two times each:
of, with, have, they, which, there, were, been, would, what
- Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.

- Read/listen and take the quiz for Ocean Animals.
3rd and 4th Grade Writing
- Take out the paper you wrote your topic sentence on and the sheet of paper that you wrote 2 facts about ocean animals on.
- 3rd grade –On the sheet of paper with your topic sentence, write 2 more sentences about ocean animals using your facts from yesterday. Write these sentences right after your topic sentence.
- 4th grade - On the sheet of paper with your topic sentence, write 2 more sentences about ocean animals using your facts from yesterday. Then, write a conclusion sentence. Write these sentences right after your topic sentence.
- Keep this paper handy for tomorrow – you will be typing your paragraph!
- Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.
- Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: ocean animal paragraph.

- Draw a picture and write a sentence to answer this question: What is the setting of the story? (The setting is where the story happened.)
- Take a photo of your finished work on your iPads.
- Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: pirate setting.
3rd and 4th Grade Writing
- Type your paragraph about ocean animals on your iPad in the Pages app.
- Edit your paragraph: Did you start each sentence with a capital letter? Did you end each sentence with a period? Did you check your spelling?
- Take a screen shot of your typed paragraph. (Hold the Sleep/Wake (on/off) button on the top of your iPad and quickly click the Home button at the bottom of the screen.)
- Turn that photo in on Showbie under the assignment: typed paragraph.

- Your sentences should all be on topic and support your opinion.
- All sentences should start with a capital letter and end with a period.
- Take a photo of your finished work on your iPad.
