1)Research one of the following composers and write down at least 4 of the answers on a piece of paper.  Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Freddie Mercury, John Denver, or Stevie Wonder.  (Stevie Wonder is still alive!)

What year was the composer born and what year did he die?

What country was the composer from?

What instrument or instruments did the composer play?

List one interesting fact about the composer.

What style of music did the composer write? 

List two songs that the composer wrote.

Listen to one of the songs that the composer wrote and write down the tempo of the song.  (Was the song a fast, medium or slow tempo?)

2)Practice playing the recorder.  Practice playing "Hot Cross Buns" and "Mary had a Little Lamb."  Here are the letters to the songs.

3) Choose 2 songs from the holiday program to practice singing.  You can use
u tube if you want to sing along.  Don't forget to use your beautiful singing voice & do the motions. Here are some of the songs that you sang:  "Winter fantasy," "Jingle Bell Rock," "In the Window," "The Man in the Bright Red Suit," "Gong Xi Fa Tai." 

4)  Write down on a piece of paper your favorite rock band, or country band, or jazz band, or pop group
Tell me at least 4 of the following questions.

What are the band members names?

What instruments do the band members play?

What is the lead singer's name?

List one of your favorite songs that the band has performed.

List an interesting or fun fact about the band.

Why do you like listening to this band's music? 

5) Create a dance to one of your favorite songs and teach one of your family members the dance.
